ten years ago today, at the ripe ol' age of 18 and 21 we donned a dress and a suit, slid on some rings, and jumped headfirst into a life committed to loving one another.

we've had the better and the worse.
we've had the sickness and the health.
we've had the richer and the poorer.

today we sit hands clasped together tighter than ever, with two incredible children, in a home made possible by a photography business we love that has been committed to love just as long as our marriage has. grateful doesn't even begin to describe how blessed we feel to be on this beautiful life journey together. here's to many more years of adventure and stories worth sharing!

the images below are from a quick trip to napa valley last week. after a fantastic lunch in st. helena we looked for a lake on a map and set off through the hills in search of it. whenever we travel, our motto is "no plans are the best plans" and that lack of plan has always managed to lead us down amazing paths. what we found was a perfect little gift to us...no one around, no bathing suits, no problem...we stripped down to our underwear and dove into another perfect story to tell.

...we celebrated our nine year anniversary by eating our way down the san diego coastline...smileboothed...traveled to the bay area and spent one of our favorite days ever exploring point reyes...spent the last days of summer enjoying the pacific ocean...nate traveled to boulder colorado for a shoot...the loin fruits rode bikes...looked adorable in our room...and holy crap our daughter grace turned EIGHT!

two of our very best friends and amazing photographers, jeremy and ashley came to visit us all the way from kansas city this past week. yesterday i took some pitchers (which i learned is how people from the midwest say pictures) of them with my hasselblad which we all decided would be henceforth named HASSELBOSS.
