yesterday (yes yesterday, i am speed blogging!!!) i had the distinct pleasure of shooting the wedding of paul and audrey :) besides being awesome friends from church, paul and audrey are the very definition of an awesome couple!!!
jaclyn was home sick for the wedding, but i want to throw a huge thanks and high fives to our amazing associate photographer michael chan for coming through in a pinch and bringing the awesome with me!
side note: to be honest, when i first rolled up to the church where the wedding was, we did our standard walk around the area to scope out some places to shoot...it was probably the first time in as long as i can remember that i had NO idea what or where to shoot! the church was big and beige with not a whole lot else going on and i was a bit worried. luckily for me, when it finally came time to shoot everything just "clicked" and i am SUPER excited about so many of the images of paul and audrey!!! they were totally up for anything which always makes our job easier :) this truly was a case of making something out of nothing...here are a few of my favs, enjoy! |

we've been having some pretty chilly weather in san diego this week...it's gotten all the way to down to 50 degrees during the day!!! it's a good thing elle and brenden are from chicago, cuz they slapped our "cold" weather silly and called it susan. here's a few of my favs from their engagement session...the light was beautimus maximus yesterday!!! |

last weekend a bunch of fellow photographers rented out a gigantor cabin in big bear and enjoyed four days of relaxing, snowboarding, poker, bowling, dance-offs and guac-offs! the crew included the lyons, the brookes, the norwoods, jeff norwood, and jessica claire...eight of the coolest people you could ever spend a weekend with! in typical photographer on vacation style, we all packed our big SLR cameras and stuff, yet our handy dandy point and shoot camera was the only one that saw any use :) check out the slideshow below for some cool snaps of our night of cosmic bowling and our old time photo adventure!

on our last night at the cabin we had an epic GUAC-OFF between myself (nate), cyndi norwood, and mark brooke! we had a tasting and voting and all of us were dead even, the championship was in the hands of one man, michael norwood (who unfortunately was found sleeping with one of the contestants). our GUAC-OMPETITION came down to a triple blind taste test from which cyndi norwood emerged victorious! check out these awesome videos of the competition...be sure to watch the third one where we played a little trick on michael :) he he he he he :)

In the early wintery months of 2008, eight celebrated, award-winning and downright awesome photographers from all over the country grabbed their sticks to ride the mountains of Mammoth, California . This marked the beginning of what is now known as
wait for it
The Mammoth Men. What ensued during that getaway was a week filled with adventure, spontaneity, hijinks and storied tales. A bond was forged amongst these men and a commitment made to doing it again, and doing it often!
During the Summer of 2008, The Mammoth Men hit the road again. Only this time, they loaded up 10 photographers in a Prevost rock star tour bus, drove for five days up the California Coast and shared it with everyone via their traffic happy blog. So much so that their blog readers actually got to choose their day-to-day adventures while watching them play out the next day. The blog following continued even after the West coast trip ended and garnered media attention in the blogosphere.
Well, the guys are back for their much anticipated third installment of The Mammoth Men. Watch the mayhem unfold as these 12 photographers board their Prevost and head into the American Southwest to document their Route 66 road-trip. Packed with more guys, more miles and more camaraderie, it's not just a roadtrip...it's a lifestyle.

josh + jenny are awesome photographers from kansas city who came out to so cal with their adorable children for some family portrait session luvin! like all of us nerdy photographers, josh and jenny didn't have any pictures with them actually in the photos with their kiddos...well i think we solved that problem right quick! shooting for photographers is always high pressure but i love it! here's a few of my favorites from my solarTASTIC afternoon :) |
