i am stuck at home. i am stuck at home sick with the flu and the worst sore throat i've ever had. i am stuck at home sick with the flu and the worst sore throat i've ever had...and i've been stuck here for five days...and i'm BORED. so i am starting to put together our 2008 retrospective of dorky pics of us shooting and being big dorks at weddings to be debuted here on the blog soonish. whilst looking through some pics i liked these :) both from olesya and joe's spectaculartastic san francisco wedding in august...

and this little gem of jaclyn totally feeling up a bodybuilder's biceps :) seriously, this guys biceps felt like he had swallowed two large bowling balls and got them lodged in his arms...i think i broke my thumb trying to squeeze them!

soooooo...we have a private shootshop scheduled for this monday (the 29th) and we need an awesome couple that is madly in love to model for us! if you've been waiting for the chance to strut your stuff, here it is! we would need you at our studio in oceanside from 1:00ish-4:00ish on monday the 29th. we'll waive our standard $500 session fee for the shoot and present your images to you online when they're all finished! interested? EMAIL US ASAP with your names, a recent photo, and why you rock the house!

in case you hadn't noticed by now...we're both photographers...with two adorable kids...with lot's of cameras...which means we've created a GIGANTOR amount of images over the years!!! with tens of thousands of images to choose from, and limited wall space in our home to display them on, we've always been paralyzed when it came to making choices about the select few that would make the wall. so we came up with this little diddy for some areas in our home! we mounted magnet boards from IKEA in series and then used mighty bits magnets to secure random prints and proofs on them. we can post bunches of our favorite images and switch them out and around whenever we feel like it. now as part of our export for personal images we blog, we export the images to a printed proof folder that we place orders from every few weeks so we always have new content to switch in and out :) i know i know...not revolutionary...but way more interesting to blog about than the crapstorm of cleaning i did all day today! happy saturday everyone!!!

we're slowly digging through the everest-sized mountain of weddings we have backed up from this year that never got any blog luvin. we just had to share some of our favorite portraits from stacie and todd's amazing wedding at the W hotel san diego. two of our favorite vendors in the whole wide world were on hand to inject their radicalness into an already awesome event...the ubertacular angel swanson of events of love and splendor was coordinating and nellie chan from stems design studio was dropping some SIIIIICK florals and decor! in case you missed it, stacie and todd also had us bust out our CRAZYBOOTH ...and man oh man, did they bring the CRAZY! anyway...here's some of our favorite portraits from stacie and todd's big day :)

on wednesday we held another one day . our way shoothsop here are our studio in oceanside for 17 awesome photographers. we flipped some lids, popped some tops, and melted some minds! thanks to all of you who left your families, friends, homes and businesses to travel from all over this continent to come together and be with us! one of our awesome shootshoppers, brian, wrote down a few gems i dropped throughout the day...my english teacher would be so proud of my special little language :) here's just a few of wednesday's nate-isms... 1. she was all humpin' on my words. 2. well, what we do do...hehehe...I said do do. 3. woops! it looks like your card is still in my pee. 4. ...this is how my breath smells... 5. ...it just like, farts into blur. 6. they don't come out your butt! [at mollie who asked jaclyn how she could have two kids yet have such a small butt] 7. we set the camera to flash white balance so it doesn't look full retard. 8. hey, guess what, I sucked your butt in. [from the chapter "what not to say to a client"] 9. oh my god...it's like heaven opened up over his ass! [demonstrating the flare tool, said in his mocking, girly voice] 10. well if your branding is as boring as vanilla ice cream...your clients will put their toppings all over you and make you into "their" ice cream. we also took some purty pictures of the amazing molly and matt who came down to model for us...thanks guys :)

i've had this picture running around in my head forever and finally got to take it!!! once i saw it, i had an eyerection that lasted longer than four hours...so i had to call my doctor...true story.

sarah + mike = totally beechin. i am giddy like a school boy to shoot them again at their wedding in august :) i want to marry their engagement pictures :)

i don't know what was in this mystical yellow drink...but you might as well call it crazyade cuz the guests were bananas!!!
